Kaiz Patel

Kaizad “Kaiz” Patel is an Indian entrepreneur who was born in Hyderabad, Telangana. He is the co-founder and CEO of SatisFIND. Kaiz has gone on to found multiple hospitality and tech startups both in India and abroad. [1]

Early life and education

Kaiz grew up in Mumbai. He had always decided to pursue a career in hospitality after being inspired by his mother, who was the head of the housekeeping department at multiple hotels in Mumbai.

Kaizad completed his high school education from Campion School in Mumbai and he went on to study hotel management at Ecole Les Roches, Switzerland, and graduated in 1995.[2] His first job was at the Hotel Savoy Baur en Ville in Zurich.

Career info

Kaiz has worked in Switzerland, the UAE, and the Philippines and carries experience spanning more than three decades [3]. He worked as a Food and Beverage Operations Manager at Kohinoor IMI School of Hotel Management and as a Project Assistant at The Club, Mumbai, before starting his own company.

He started Kaiz’s Hospitality Services after returning to India in 2001. [4] He was focused on providing consulting services to hotels and restaurants in India. He was also the founder of Kaiz Consult India, which he ran from 2007 to 2019. He took on a new role as a consultant for the Philippine Department of Tourism in 2013.

Later, he merged his company with that of his wife and co-founded SatisFIND. [5] He shifted base to India in June of 2018 to work at his tech startup.

Kaiz was the ambassador for the Les Roches Alumni Association between 2020 and 2021. He is now on the committee of the Les Roches alumni association and is the first person from India to be elected for the post.

Awards and recognition

He received the Caterplan (Unilever) “30 under 30” Award, recognizing 30 hospitality professionals under the age of 30 in Asia. He was only 24 years old and the youngest of the awardees.

Kaiz became one of the first pioneers in India to offer mystery shopping in 2001. This service later became a solid foundation for measuring the customer experience.
