Byju Raveendran (born 1981)[2] is an Indian billionaire who is the founder of BYJU’s.[3] He founded Byju's classes in 2011, he has a net worth of 1.9 B.[4][5] He is currently in the list of top 100 billionaires of India and has a ranking of 72nd. He started byjus tablet in 2012 and further releasing his app in 2015 which got 2 million users in first 2 months of release. He was named to Fortune Magazine's 2020 '40 Under 40' list under the technology category.[2]

Byju's acquired the status of 'Decacorn' on June 29, 2020.[6]

He was born in the Azhikode[7] village of Kerala, India. He studied at a Malayalam medium school where both his parents were teachers.[8]
