Janelle Kao also known as Freya Fox is an Asian American Professional Gamer, Host, Entrepreneur, and Musician. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]She is best known for specializing in Fighting Games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Tekken 7, and Soul Calibur VI. [6] [7] [8] [9]

In 2018 Fox was selected as the first American Brand Ambassador for 1MORE headphones. [10] [11]

In 2018, Fox won the Facebook Gaming Fighting Game Championship at Pax West 2018 against X-Bit Gaming. [12]

In April 2020, Fox was a panelist along with Trisha Hershberger, Ryan "Gooteks" Gutierrez, and Scott Adametz of Riot Games, in the first online eSports convention "IGEC" hosted by Inven Global. Originally the convention was scheduled for an in-person event but due to COVID-19, Inven Global was forced to host the event online. [13] [14]

In May 2020, Fox partnered with the American Cancer Society to raised money for Gamers vs Cancer.[15]

On May 12, 2020, Freya Fox was a featured streamer and partner of USC (University of Southern California) for the first ever online USC Games Expo, alongside other guests such as T-Pain, MXMTOON, Lasercorn, Mark Hamill, and others. The event's live stream broke a new record of 1,200 concurrent viewers for the University. [16] [17] [18]
