Jagdish Sonkar is an Indian politician and a member of 17th Legislative Assembly, Uttar Pradesh of India. He represents the Machhali Shahar constituency in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.[1][2][3]

Jagdish Sonkar contested Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election as Samajwadi Party candidate and defeated his close contestant Anita Rawat from Bharatiya Janata Party with a margin of 4,179 votes.
