Sunil Butolia (born March 1, 1988), is an Indian businessperson, internet entrepreneur and a webmaster. [3][4][5][6] He is best known as the founder of FAME Internet Technologies, the developer of online platforms such as FAME Publish, The Reveal, INFOOBOX and The Bollywood Times, as well as the chairman of FAMEPedia, India based non-profit online encyclopedia.
Sunil was born in Delhi, India, where he attended GBSS School, and then completed higher secondary from National Institute of Open Schooling. He earned a bachelor degree in Arts from School of Open Learning, University of Delhi.
He also got admission in MBA programme from Institute of Distance Education, Madras University but dropped out for some personal reasons.
Early life
Sunil was born in Delhi, India on March 01, 1988 according to school records; however, his real birth date was not recorded at the time of his birth. His father Pratap Singh worked as a driver, while his mother Atarkali is a home-maker.[7]
Career
Sunil has been calm, promising, intelligent and fearless since his childhood. He started working at the age of 18 to help his father, due to which he completed high school and later education through distance mode.
In 2012, he got an opportunity to work as Document Controller in Pratibha Industries and then worked with other reputed construction entities like Godrej Properties, ATS Infrastructure etc.
In the year 2018, he wanted to create his own Google Knowledge Panel, for which he did a lot of online research and as a result he decided to create his own platform like Wikipedia and Wikidata and in July 2019 he launched a wiki website called FAMEPedia which is based on MediaWiki software. And also developed a knowledge database named FAMEData. Along with his job, he continued to work on his Wiki platforms.
Personal life
Sunil married Neetu Butolia on April 25, 2018 now having Two girl child Sakshi Butolia and Neha Butolia.[8]
Sunil is an editor himself and occasionally contributes to FAMEPedia with his account.
Movement
Sunil don't like Indian politics where political parties are supreme and independent social worker can't serve as political leader. To solve this issue, Sunil started the Clean Politics Movement (स्वच्छ राजनीति अभियान) with the aim to make Indian politics brighter.
