Babbu Rana

Babbu Rana (UrduPunjabi: ﺑﺒﻮ ﺭﺍﻧﺎ), is a Pakistani Punjabi television and stage actor and singer. He is famous for Pakistani television shows like KhabardaarKhabarzarKhabaryar and Aap Kay Sitaray. He stars in the comedy television show Khabardaar, currently being aired on the Urdu-language television channel Express News. He has also starred in numerous stage shows. Rana has acted with a number of other comedians including Honey Albela, Saleem Albela, Azhar Rangeela, Mubeen Gabol, Naseem Vicky, Agha Majid and Nasir Chinyoti.

Personal life

Muhammad Babar Siddiq was born on 10 July 1981 in Faisalabad in Punjab. He is married and has two children.

Acting career

Early career

He started his career from Faislabad as a theatre actor and appeared in several stage dramas. He was given his stage name by Babbu Baral, whom he considers his idol. Rana got his break on television when he was cast in the comedic show, Khabardaar, that he considers important for his future career. 

2015-present

In 2015, Rana was cast in his most notable role on Khabardaar, an Express comedy satire show. He first appeared in season one as a minor character, but his role became more prominent at the start of season two. Rana voiced a puppet named “Noni” in the comedy show Aap Kay Sitaray, alongside Honey Albela’s Tony in 2019. He also voiced another puppet called “Loombar” in digital show, Mehkma-e-Makholiat. He frequently appears in digital talk show Open Mic Cafe. Rana played a minor role in television series S.H.E in 2015. He usually performs a song in his shows.
