Nicholas James Vujicic is a motivational speaker and Christian evangelist of Serbian descent who was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1982 with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder that causes the absence of limbs. His parents were Serbian immigrants from Yugoslavia.

Vujicic was bullied at school because of his condition and attempted to take his own life by drowning in a bathtub. However, he was saved and went on to become a public speaker, delivering talks at his prayer group after his mother showed him a newspaper article about a woman praying with a severe disability.

Despite his physical limitations, Vujicic graduated from Griffith University at the age of 21 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a double major in accountancy and financial planning. He also starred in the short film The Butterfly Circus, for which he received the Best Actor in a Short Film award at the 2010 Method Fest Independent Film Festival.

In 2008, Vujicic met Kanae Miyahara in McKinney, Texas, and they married in 2012. The couple has four children and resides in Southern California.

Vujicic is able to type 43 words per minute on a computer despite having no limbs. He has written several books, including Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life, which was published by Random House in 2010 and has been translated into over 32 languages. His other publications include Your Life Without Limits, Limitless: Devotions for a Ridiculously Good Life, Unstoppable: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action, The Power of Unstoppable Faith, Stand Strong, Love Without Limits, and Be the Hands and Feet: Living Out God’s Love for All His Children.
