Dr. Ritu Singh is a former professor at Delhi University who has been protesting caste discrimination for over 160 days. She was expelled from the college due to caste-based discrimination by the principal. She has been staging a sit-in dharna for more than four months. Her matter is in court presently.

Early life and education
Dr. Ritu Singh was born in a Dalit family in Uttar Pradesh. She completed her PhD in Psychology from the University of Delhi.

Career
After completing her PhD, Dr. Ritu Singh worked as an Assistant Professor at Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. She was expelled from the college in 2020 due to caste-based discrimination by the principal.

Activism
Dr. Ritu Singh has been an active voice against caste discrimination. She has been involved in several protests and demonstrations against caste discrimination. She has also been a vocal critic of the Delhi University administration.

Awards and honors
Dr. Ritu Singh has been awarded several awards for her activism. In 2021, she was awarded the Ambedkar Social Justice Award.
