Early Life and Education:
Vysakh Reetha’s educational foundation was laid at the Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School in Thycaud, Thiruvananathapuram. He pursued his higher education in the art of filmmaking at prestigious institutions, including Queen Margaret University in Musselburgh, Scotland, and ESRA Film School in Paris, France.

Career Beginnings:
Vysakh Reetha embarked on his filmmaking journey in 2010 as a director and screenwriter, crafting his first narrative in the form of the short film “Journey of Life.” However, it was in 2014 that he made a significant leap into the Malayalam film industry, taking on roles as an assistant director under the guidance of prominent filmmakers in the field.

Collaboration with Krishand:
In 2018, a pivotal partnership formed between Vysakh Reetha and director Krishand. Together, they undertook various compelling projects, including the creation of the documentary “Waterbodies.” This 15-minute documentary, commissioned by the Stanford Law School, delved into the impact of the Narmada Dam Project on Adivasi settlements.

Noteworthy Works:
Vysakh Reetha’s collaboration with Krishand extended to the Malayalam film industry, where he served as the Chief Associate Director for notable films such as “Vrithakrithiyilulla Charthuram” (A Minor Inconvenience), “Aavasavyooham: The Arbit Documentation of an Amphibian Hunt,” and “Purusha Pretham” (The Male Ghost). These films captured unique narratives and showcased the duo’s storytelling prowess.

Web Series Directorship:
In 2020, Vysakh Reetha assumed the director’s chair for the web series “Ennum Varunna Dhoomakedhu – Everyday Meteor,” a black comedy web series penned by Krishand RK. This series received acclaim and was nominated at the Seoul Web-Fest 2020 for Best Screenplay and Best Dramedy.
